Provide critical nursing care to patients during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures while assisting radiologists and surgeons. Monitor patients for complications, administer medications, and provide pre- and post-operative education and care.

Education/Skills Required: 1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. 2. Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. 3. BLS and ACLS required within 2 months of hire. 4. Completion of Radiation Safety within six (6) months. 5. Meets requirements of physical/pre-placement screening. 6. Must be able to take call. 7. At least 2 years of acute inpatient nursing experience or procedural nursing experience within the prior 5 years is required. 8. Prior Interventional Radiology nursing experience preferred. 9. Competent in IV Therapy and venipuncture required, port access preferred. 10. Prior knowledge and experience in pre and post-operative care preferred.
As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided. This is a bargaining union position.
