We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at Monadnock Community Hospital. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in our patient care by efficiently and safely collecting blood specimens for medical testing. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to patient comfort will contribute to our hospital's mission of providing exceptional healthcare services to the community.

This is a Phlebotomist position in the Laboratory in Monadnock Community Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipunctures and skin punctures on patients of all ages, ensuring the collection of high-quality blood specimens for testing.
  • Verify patient information and identity before performing blood draws, maintaining accuracy in labeling and documentation.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients regarding pre-test preparations and post-test care.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols during all procedures to ensure the well-being of both patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper specimen handling, transportation, and processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Perform office functions including filing, distribution of confidential reports, inventory of supplies, and scheduling patient appointments.
  • Keep up-to-date with best practices and industry standards in phlebotomy techniques and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Hours

This is a full-time day position including Saturdays.

Salary

Competitive salary based on experience.
