About the role

The RN will provide professional nursing care, supervise unlicensed assistive personnel, and document patient status in the electronic health record. They will also collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and perform clinical interventions as needed.

1.

Plans, provides, supervises, and documents professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.

2.

Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

3.

Charts observations and activities related to patient care in electronic health record.

4.

Provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.

5.

Guides and directs assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.

6.

Assesses signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.

7.

Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, infection control and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standards.

8.

Collects blood specimens by venipuncture or micro techniques for laboratory analysis necessary for patient treatment and diagnosis.

9.

Operates equipment that is needed to perform department specific duties 10.

We have 12 hour shifts.

Requirements

1 or more years of ED experience Required.

Current RN Licensure

CPR Certification: Medical Surgical experience or critical care experience

Associate’s degree or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree preferred
