About the role

Performs various imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and acting as the primary interface for patient imaging needs. Participates in continuous quality improvement and quality assurance activities.

Shift

PRN. Variable days and hours

Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols.

Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

Participates in CQI and QA activities.

Will not be allowed to operate fluoroscopic equipment, period.

Will not be allowed to perform Radiologic procedures without a registered Radiologic Technologist on the premises.

Knowledge/Experience

One to three years' experience as a Limited Radiologic Technologist, or a current Radiologic Technologist Student in a credible program with a permit to practice as a Limited Radiologic Technologist in the State of Montana is required.

Education

Graduate from an Accredited School of Limited Radiologic Technology.

License/Certification/Registry

Current license for Limited Radiologic Technology in the State of Montana is required. Current BCLS is required.

Ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers. Possesses interpersonal/communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic patient care and customer relations. Open to feedback and open to a changing environment, which requires flexibility in scheduling and department assignments.

Requirements

Requires a license for Limited Radiologic Technology in Montana and current BCLS certification. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of Limited Radiologic Technology with one to three years of experience or be a current student with a permit.
