A Brief Overview Provides assessment and treatment of psychological symptoms and coordinates additional mental healthcare referrals as needed for patients identified to have behavioral health and/or mental health disorders. What you will do Interviews referred clients to provide behavioral health counseling and assess needs.
Evaluate patients in crisis situations to determine appropriate course of intervention and facilitating internal and/or external referrals when necessary.
Develops plans of care with patient and provides case management functions of linking and arranging services for patients.
Utilizes empirically-supported psychological interventions to treat commonly occurring mental health conditions, coordinating with collaborating medical providers as needed to promote overall health and wellness.
Promote and provide behavioral health education and standards of care in community and among employees as requested.
Monitor the clinic's behavioral health program, gather data to measure outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement in coordination with the leadership team.
Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.

Demonstrates cultural competency and knowledge of interventions with special populations. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, interpreting reports and EMR documentation. Ability to effectively communicate daily with patients/families, school or employer officials and peers to implement programs. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Make recommendations and refer exceptions that affect policies, procedures and practices to the supervisior. Thorough knowledge of current theories and principles of mental health disorders and best-practice counseling techniques. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision. Performs daily using PC, Email and MS office. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Performs duties within scope of general MLH policies, procedures and objectives.
