About the role

The Dialysis RN is responsible for initiating, monitoring, and ending dialysis treatments while administering medications and collecting specimens. They must document patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of adult and geriatric patients.

Join a highly stable and collaborative dialysis team where you'll be supported by experienced leaders and clinicians who are invested in your success.

Our unit offers a comprehensive 10–12-week orientation.

New grads are welcome.

With long-tenured staff, including nurse leaders, an experienced NP, a nephrologist who rounds monthly, a social worker, and dietitian, you'll work in a true team-based environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

Our census is capped at 24 patients, allowing nurses to build meaningful patient relationships while working alongside skilled technicians in a supportive and well-established culture.

How you'll contribute

A Dialysis RN who excels in this role

Directs and/or performs initiation of dialysis treatments, monitoring, and ending of treatment.

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

Plans and documents patient care given.

Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

Evaluates the assessment, planning and intervention process.

Demonstrates professional and personal development.

Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of patient served including adult and geriatric patients.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred). Additional requirements include:
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination

Requirements

Applicants must hold a current Michigan RN license and an associate degree in nursing, though a bachelor's degree is preferred. Basic Life Support Certification and an annual influenza vaccination or declination are also required.
