The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images using various imaging modalities to assist radiologists in patient diagnosis. This includes operating radiographic, tomographic, and fluoroscopic equipment while ensuring patient safety and radiation protection.

One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
Operation of Radiology Equipment Operates Radiographic, Tomographic, Fluoroscopic and mobile Radiographic and Fluoroscopic equipment.
Sets technical factors and follows established protocols to produce diagnostic images.
Uses positioning and immobilization devices as appropriate in safe and effective manner Wears radiation dosimetry badge at collar and follows radiation protection standards.
Operates processing, day-light loading and duplication equipment.
Transmits digital images to the laser camera for filming.
Reports equipment problems in an efficient manner.
Patient Care Job Requirements Required: High School Graduate Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications, upon hire or High School GED Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) Medical Radiographer: CA (MRAD:CA) Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA (FLRAD:CA) and Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR) or Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry (RTBD) or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (RTCT) or Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography (RTCV) or Registered Technologist Mammography (RTM) or Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RTMR) or Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology (RTN) or Registered Technologist Quality Management (RTQM) or Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy (RTT) or Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad (RTVI) or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RTVS) Preferred: Previous experience in Diagnostic Radiology
Candidates must be a high school graduate with a valid California Medical Radiographer license and ARRT certification in radiography or a related specialty. Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) certification is required, and previous experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred.
