About the role

The Physical Therapist Regional Float provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services across multiple locations to help patients improve physical wellbeing and quality of life. Responsibilities include performing evaluations, developing individualized care plans, and supervising physical therapy assistants and technicians.

Where You’ll Work This Physical Therapist Regional Float role supports both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services across CHI Health locations throughout the Omaha metro and Southwest Iowa region.

You'll provide care where you're needed most, gaining experience with diverse patient populations, clinical settings, and collaborative care teams.

In recognition of the flexibility this role provides, you'll receive a 25% differential for all direct patient care hours, along with mileage reimbursement for eligible travel between assigned locations.

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Physical Therapist Regional Float, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments.

You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.

Provides physical therapy assessment, care planning, patient treatment and education according to the professional practice guidelines defined by state and professional sources.

Works as a collaborative team member to develop a coordinated care plan that is accountable to achievement of established goals.

Is knowledgeable and completes all required documentation and billing requirements according to established local, state and federal law.

Is responsible for the knowledge and application of measurable quality metrics associated with the area of active practice.

Periodically attends team meetings to expand to discuss/improve program evaluation/quality measures Provides supervision to physical therapy assistants and techs according to established to local, state and federal guidelines.

Takes responsibility to stay current with evidenced based practice guidelines, stays current with new research introduced and serves as a professional resource to other team members in the area of physical therapy practice.

Job Requirements Physical Therapist license in NE and IA Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Physical Therapist license in both Nebraska and Iowa. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is also required.
