Monitors patient heart rhythms. Interprets heart rhythms and documents tracings per unit guidelines. Communicates all changes in heart rhythms and/or capnography to the provider. Cleans and tracks all telemetry devices. Cleans and tracks all vocera devices. Ensures accommodation codes are up to date. Performs 12-lead EKGs as ordered. Assists with telemetry monitor positioning as needed. Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire. Previous experience as a monitor technician, nursing assistant, EMT, or paramedic is preferred.
