POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Learn how to perform phlebotomy and point of care lab testing Perform radiographic procedures as directed by a clinic provider Contribute to the development and evaluation of radiology processes and procedures

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Cross train in phlebotomy and obtain MA-P license within 90 days of employment Prepare patients for radiological procedures. Verify the site of the exam and instruct patients regarding procedures. Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures. Select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards Examine radiology images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion Deliver images to PACS for reading/ interpretation by providers and UW Radiologists Maintain radiology room Stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies Clean and make minor adjustments to radiological equipment

Requirements

Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry, or eligible to have ARRT completed within the employee's probationary period. Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist/X-ray Technician, before completion of probationary period.
