The role supports safe, efficient unit operations by focusing on personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration, elimination, and prevention of complications, while preparing patients and environments for procedures. PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN. Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients. Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
License(s)/Certification(s): Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
Other: Must be Eighteen (18) years old or older
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification. A valid driver's license and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are also required.
