The Patient Care Technician provides hands-on clinical support in a fast-paced Emergency Department, including performing EKGs and monitoring vital signs. They are responsible for assisting with patient admissions, discharges, and maintaining a safe care environment.
Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Perform vital signs, EKGs, blood glucose checks, and specimen collection. Support nurses and physicians with patient care procedures. Provide compassionate, respectful assistance with daily living activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment. Document patient information accurately and promptly.
Education: High School Diploma/GED or currently and actively working towards completion of Diploma/GED Prefer candidates that have successfully completed the CNA program and are active on the Iowa Direct Care Registry Certification/License: Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 3 months from date of hire Ready to make a difference?
