Description

This full-time, on-site position presents an opportunity to make a significant impact in the medical practice industry, working alongside leading professionals in a collaborative environment.

As a Pathologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing diseases through the examination of tissues and body fluids, playing a crucial role in patient care. You will engage in a variety of projects aimed at enhancing diagnostic processes and improving patient outcomes. Your expertise will be essential in guiding treatment decisions and contributing to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive examinations of pathology specimens.
  • Diagnose diseases based on laboratory findings.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss diagnostic findings.
  • Participate in case discussions and contribute to treatment planning.
  • Assist in quality assurance and improvement measures within the lab.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
  • Stay updated on advancements in pathology and contribute to departmental goals.
  • Mentor and support junior staff and trainees in the department.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of residency in Pathology.
  • Associates level of post-training experience (preferred).
  • Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with laboratory techniques and technologies.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Call optional

Average 500-550 native kidney biopsies annually

Anticipating around 100 annual liver transplants

No grossing of specimens/slides

Support Staff: PAs

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified

Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary based on experience

Annual bonus
