Locum - Physician - Surgery - Orthopedic

• Dates: 10/07, 7 AM through 10/12, 7 AM, with additional ongoing needs anticipated.

**Emergency Coverage

• - 24-hour on-call service with a callback window preferred at 2-4 hours for the 24-hour rate.

**Position Details

• Candidate must be proficient in performing hip nailing procedures.

- **Shift Schedule

• *
• 24-hour on-call from 7 AM to 7 AM. -

**Patient Demographics

• *
• Inclusive of adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. -

**EMR System

• *
• Proficiency in EPIC required.

- **Specialty Focus

• *
• Orthopedic surgical interventions including trauma management, hip nailing, fracture and dislocation treatment, amputation procedures, correction of bone and joint deformities, tumors, and total joint replacements (hip, knee, shoulder). Spinal surgery capabilities necessary, encompassing both instrumentation and non-instrumented approaches for cervical and lumbar regions, and thoracic procedures as applicable. Proficient in arthroscopy.

**Shift Overview

• *
• On-call duty for 24 hours from 7 AM to 7 AM.

**Qualifications

• *
• Board Certification in Orthopedics required.
• Active Kentucky Medical License (IMLC accepted).
• Current DEA registration essential.
• Orthopedic Fellowship preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• COVID vaccination preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in general and specific orthopedic surgical and non-surgical procedures is a must.
• Experience in hip and knee replacement techniques.
• Proficiency in arthroscopy.
• Skills in hip and knee repair or revision.
• Clean background check is mandatory.
• Availability for the specified dates is essential.
