Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent information in the electronic health record (EHR). Prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Assist providers during examinations and treatments. Provide basic patient care and treatments, including: Administering medications via topical, oral, subcutaneous, or intramuscular routes Dressing changes Suture and staple removal Obtain laboratory specimens as ordered. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all clinic policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities Excellent patient service and interpersonal skills. Strong communication and organizational abilities. Education and Experience Required: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certificate from an accredited Medical Assisting Program. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
