About the role

The nurse is responsible for preoperative assessments and post-anesthesia recovery for orthopedic surgery patients. They ensure a safe surgical experience from admission through discharge, focusing on pain management and patient education.

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our orthopedic ambulatory surgery center team.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in preoperative assessment, post-anesthesia recovery, and the care of orthopedic surgery patients.

This nurse is skilled at recognizing changes in patient condition, providing compassionate, patient-centered care, and ensuring a safe, efficient surgical experience from admission through discharge.

The successful candidate will have experience caring for patients undergoing total joint replacement, sports medicine, spine, hand, foot and ankle, and other orthopedic procedures.

They will excel in patient education, pain management, discharge planning, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team.

Requirements
