Overview Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - PRN- Home Health Care Chambersburg, PA Looking for Daylight Hours, Flexibility, and Meaningful Patient Care? Advantage Home Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing Home Health team. If you're looking for the flexibility of a PRN schedule while making a real difference in patients' lives, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. As a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll enjoy the autonomy of managing your schedule, providing one-on-one care in patients' homes, and helping individuals improve their ability to safely and independently perform the activities of daily living that matter most to them.

Responsibilities

  • What You'll Do Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist in accordance with physician orders and individualized plans of care.
  • Assist patients in improving their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
  • Implement treatment plans designed to improve function, safety, and independence.
  • Instruct patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home safety recommendations, and the use of adaptive equipment.
  • Document patient treatments, responses, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate changes in patient condition and progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Pennsylvania.
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program with a current COTA license in Pennsylvania and CPR certification. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance are required.
