About the role

The nurse will provide comprehensive care for clients in a residential treatment facility, including conducting weekly visits, monitoring vitals, and administering medications. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate medical orders and facilitate self-care groups.

Job Summary

TranscendED is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to support our residential treatment facility in Monroe, North Carolina. This is a part-time role requiring 20 hours per week, ideal for a nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in a therapeutic setting focused on healing and recovery while working within a collaborative and innovative environment. The RN will ensure timely follow-through on all physician orders and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate comprehensive client care.

Responsibilities

Conduct weekly nursing visits at the residential facility Complete nursing notes and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Perform admission nursing assessments Monitor and record weekly vitals Administer medications as needed MAR management Coordinate follow-up for medical orders, including labs, EKGs, and other appointments with Psychiatrist, PMHNP, FNP Collaborate with the Treatment Team to support holistic care Attend weekly interdisciplinary team meeting Provide nursing consultation as needed Facilitate a weekly self-care/hygiene group Administer first aid/body checks PRN

Qualifications

RN or LPN in good standing in North Carolina Strong understanding of nursing principles and clinical practices Proficient in medication administration and use Experience with eating disorder or behavioral health clients is preferred Excellent communication skills both written and oral

Credentialing & Physical Requirements Credentialing is required; details provided upon application Must be physically able to perform standard RN duties as needed
