A2 is a 30-bed Medical/Surgical Unit caring for a wide range of patients, including cardiac, orthopedic, surgical, and general medical patient populations. Nurses will thrive in this fast-paced, team-oriented setting within a Level IV Trauma Center, gaining valuable experience while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
Requires a nursing diploma or associate degree, and a valid Registered Nurse license and BLS certification upon hire. No prior experience is required, making it open to graduate nurse applications.
