About the role

Deliver coordinated nursing care for OB/GYN patients and supervise assigned nursing staff. Develop and implement patient care plans while collaborating with treatment teams to ensure safety and smooth transitions of care.

Overview Registered Nurse – OB/GYN, Hanford, California. Travel assignment starts August 17, 2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay between $2,347 per week and $2,429 per week. Guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), 3x12-hour shifts. Work setting: Short-term acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for OB/GYN patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
  • Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines; exercise professional and supervisory discretion.
  • Collect relevant patient data, analyze assessment findings, and develop a care plan to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and participate in strategies to promote patient safety and a healing environment.
  • Participate in discharge planning, provide education to patients and families, and ensure smooth transitions of care.
  • Document care in the patient record, collaborate with the treatment team, and adapt care during patient transitions; float to L&D/LDRP as required.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
  • Education: BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing with approval to practice per state requirements may be considered
  • Experience: At least two years of recent acute care nursing experience
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) required; ACLS (or ARC-ALS) and NRP (or ARC-NALS) required
  • Clinical systems: Experience with EPIC and Cerner documentation
  • Special requirements: Ability to work night shifts and to float to L&D/LDRP as needed; strong critical thinking and collaboration skills
