Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
  • Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient responses.
  • Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic and adverse effects, adjusting care as ordered.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, other nurses, and multidisciplinary team members; communicate clearly with patients and families.
  • Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, using professional judgment and independent decision-making.
  • Document care, patient progress, and outcomes to support continuity of care and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in an ER/acute care environment.
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts; comfortable with a 36-hour weekly schedule.
  • ER or acute care nursing experience preferred.
