Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated RN care for patients in the ER according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Conduct timely assessments, implement care plans, and continuously reassess patient status.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor responses, and document outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Supervise and direct the activities of nursing staff at various levels and support staff as needed.
• Apply critical thinking and professional judgment to prioritize care and ensure patient safety.

Requirements

• Current, active RN license in California or eligibility for licensure in California.
• ER or acute care nursing experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
