About the role

The LPN is responsible for administering vaccinations and conducting health screenings for blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol. They educate patients on preventive health measures and document results while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Schedule

  • Part-Time/Days
  • Monday-Thursday 8:00-4:30, some evenings and weekends required.

Location- 333 E Miller Drive, Bloomington, IN. 47401

Responsibilities

  • Administer vaccinations and immunizations.
  • Conduct patient health screenings, including blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol screenings.
  • Educate patients on preventive health measures and wellness initiatives.
  • Accurately document screening results and communicate findings as appropriate.

Description

Knows and uses the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to individual patients. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team. Evaluates response to interventions and patient status toward goal achievement. Accepts delegated nursing measures for which he or she knows he or she is prepared, qualified and licensed to perform.

Requires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.

Requires an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) LPN license.

Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Successful completion of orientation required.

1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited LPN program with an active Indiana or NLC LPN license and BLS certification. One to two years of relevant experience is preferred.
