Job Details Breast Center | Hamilton | Resource (PRN) | First Shift Responsibilities & Requirements The Mammography Technologist performs both screening and diagnostic mammograms and assists the Radiologists with mammography procedures.
This individual helps with performing QC testing and documentation as required by the MQSA.
The technologist helps to maintain all paperwork and documentation in regard to abnormal follow ups pathology, patient letters etc. as required by MQSA.
This person must demonstrate good customer service with patients and doctor's offices, as well as have good communication with our Radiologists.
The technologist is expected to work both independently and as a team with limited supervision.
This person must participate in yearly MQSA inspections and the ACR process as needed.
Minimum Education Maintain fifteen mammography specific continuing credits per every two year period as required by the MQSA Required Licenses Registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Must possess a valid Ohio License as a Radiographer.
ARRT registry in mammography is required.
Certified in BLS Required Skills Experience is an active Mammography department with skill taking care of various patient types.
Technologist must also have an understanding of routine QC procedures and MQSA and ACR requirements.
Ability to work quickly and accurately under time pressure.
Ability to operate new equipment and learn new procedures.
Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with physicians, patients, and coworkers.
