About the role

Provide anesthesia care for various outpatient surgical procedures within an independent, all-CRNA team. Collaborate with perioperative staff to ensure safe patient care and mentor nurse anesthesia residents.

Overview New London Hospital is seeking an experienced CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) to join our independent, all-CRNA anesthesia team at a critical access hospital in New London, New Hampshire on a per diem basis.

This is a unique opportunity to practice to the full scope of your licensure in a collaborative, high-performing environment that values professionalism, respect, and teamwork across anesthesia, surgery, nursing, and perioperative services.

CRNAs are respected members of the Medical Staff, contributing to a highly regarded department.

As a per diem CRNA, you will provide anesthesia care for a variety of outpatient surgical procedures, including orthopedics (total joint arthroplasty), neurospine, urology, general surgery, endoscopy, and pain procedures.

They will work collaboratively with the anesthesia team and perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care, supporting smooth OR workflow and a well-run practice.

The CRNA will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and professionalism, while also engaging with and mentoring Nurse Anesthesia Residents when opportunities arise.

This role offers the chance to practice independently in a high-quality clinical environment while contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.

About our Practice: Diverse Outpatient surgical cases, including orthopedics (total joint arthroplasty),neurospine, urology, general surgery, endoscopy, and pain procedures.

No Obstetrics or pediatric cases under age 16.

Streamlined, robust Pre-Anesthesia Testing (PAT) process ensures efficient, smooth OR days.

Reasonable Call schedule with very few callbacks, especially at night—60-minute call-back expectation.

Fully Integrated Epic electronic medical record system for seamless clinical workflow.

Required Licensure/Certifications Four years of experience are recommended.

Independent practice experience is preferred but not required.

Regional anesthesia experience is preferred, though the group is happy to support further skill development for the right candidate.

Obtain a New Hampshire RN and APRN License.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from New Hampshire Board of Nursing.

Degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program.

Requirements

Requires a degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program and valid New Hampshire RN and APRN licenses. Four years of experience is recommended, with a preference for independent and regional anesthesia experience.
