Radiology Services at UW Medical Center - Northwest offers routine radiology, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Understand and be able to independently operate and practice proper use of mammography and ultrasound equipment Troubleshoot minor problems with mammography and US equipment and report equipment malfunctions to supervisor or appropriate service Practice proper aseptic techniques following use of all equipment Choose appropriate patient from work list or enters required patient information to maintain accurate permanent record of test results Evaluate new prototype equipment and maintains confidentiality of proprietary information Have knowledge of EPIC and PACS to perform daily duties REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Satisfactory completion of formal technology training in an AMA approved school, registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR equivalent education/experience. LEGAL REQUIREMENT Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist. Registered by ARRT as a Mammography Technologist (ARRT(R)(M) Mammography certification) DESIRED Breast Ultrasound training and CE’s within 1 year of hire and certification within 1 year of completion of training/CE’s.
