The Therapy Technician provides hands-on patient support and assists with therapeutic exercises and machine setup. Additionally, the role handles clinical administrative tasks such as managing clinic flow, answering phones, and updating EMR records.

Job Summary

  • Insight is seeking a caring and approachable Comprehensive Therapy Technician to work in conjunction with staff and physicians to support the delivery of patient care second to none! The Therapy Technician is clinical and patient therapy-centric, but will have some creative capacities that are added into this role. The position thrives in a fast-paced, team oriented environment within a multidisciplinary clinic. This position may be cross-trained in all clinical administrative processes, therefore the Tech may also answer phones, obtain prior insurance authorizations, perform patient reminder calls, and enter information into the EMR. The Tech is required to maintain patient and hospital confidentiality at all times. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in Therapy specialties! Job Duties

  • Provides hands on patient direction and support
  • Sets patients up with various machines, therapies and exercises
  • Assists with departmental therapeutic activities and other duties as assigned
  • Assists with the direction of clinic flow as needed
  • Light cleaning duties as needed
  • Assists in administrative tasks as needed, including front desk work
  • May contact patient to follow up with missed or canceled appointments
  • Support the Comprehensive Therapy department via other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Previous experience preferred; pay negotiable based on experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent; Associates degree preferred
  • Skilled in working with people while building and managing relationships in a friendly, empathetic and respectful manner
  • Knowledge of clinical practices is preferred
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
  • Reliable in work results, timeliness and attendance
  • Ability to relate to and work effectively with a wonderfully diverse populace
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
  • Able to work under pressure and in situations that benefit from patience, tact, stamina and endurance
  • Detailed oriented, conscientious and committed to precision in work results
  • Committed to contributing to a positive environment, even in rapidly changing circumstances
  • Is aware of standards and performs in accordance with them

Requirements

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree preferred and previous clinical experience desired. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment are essential.
