Shift

Day shift with 12-hour shifts (6am–6pm or 10am–10pm), including every other weekend. NY license required with current BLS. This is a travel, temporary assignment designed to support long-term care needs within a hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and document administration in patient records
• Monitor vital signs, observe changes in patient condition, and report developments to the supervising clinician
• Deliver direct patient care to residents, including those with dementia and chronic conditions
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
• Perform routine nursing tasks (wound care, specimen collection, routine treatments) and maintain accurate charting
• Follow facility policies for safety, infection control, and documentation; float to other units as required

Requirements

• Current New York Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in long-term care or a similar setting
• Ability to work day shifts (12-hour) and float to other units as needed
• LPN diploma or equivalent required
• Must be willing to float – no exceptions
