Market context

California MSW roles stay clinically competitive

In California, MSW social worker roles are often in steady demand across hospitals, hospice, and community health settings, especially for candidates with clinical or medical social work experience. These positions are competitive because employers look for a CSWE-accredited master’s degree, familiarity with behavioral theories, end-of-life care, and knowledge of programs such as SSDI and SDI.
