The Locum Vascular Surgeon will perform vascular surgeries and procedures while managing pre- and post-operative patient care. They will collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and document surgical progress thoroughly.

Description

This contract position offers an on-site opportunity for a medical professional to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical practice environment.

As a Locum Vascular Surgeon, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality surgical interventions and patient management. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for patients with vascular conditions. This role not only contributes to our commitment to excellence in healthcare but also offers a unique chance to enhance your professional skills in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities

Perform vascular surgeries and procedures in adherence to established protocols Conduct pre-operative assessments and consultations for patients Collaborate with surgical and medical staff to optimize patient care Manage post-operative care and follow-up for vascular patients Document patient progress and surgical outcomes thoroughly Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice Stay current with the latest advancements in vascular surgery techniques Provide education and support to patients regarding their conditions and treatments

Requirements

Valid MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Associate-level experience in Vascular Surgery is preferred Current Board Certification or eligibility in General Surgery Strong clinical diagnostic and procedural skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement Current state medical license to practice in South Carolina

Schedule: 24-hour call (8a-8a), specific dates

Daily Volume: 10 patients

EMR: eCW

Support Staff: APP

Must be board-certified
