Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including routine examinations and surgical procedures. Manage prenatal and postnatal care while collaborating with nursing staff and midwives in an inpatient setting.

Description

This contract position offers a unique opportunity to serve patients in a lively and supportive medical practice environment.

As a Locum MD in Ob/Gyn, you will be delivering comprehensive care to women, overseeing various aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. You will play a critical role in ensuring high standards of patient care while working alongside a passionate team of healthcare professionals. This role contributes significantly to our mission of providing exceptional reproductive health services to our community.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality obstetric and gynecological care to patients Conduct routine and specialized examinations Manage prenatal and postnatal care Perform surgical procedures as necessary Develop treatment plans tailored to patients' needs Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Educate patients about health and wellness

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction Experience in obstetrics and gynecology Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Commitment to patient care and continuous professional development

Schedule: 24-hour unrestricted call, 7a-7a, specific dates

Setting: Inpatient only

Delivery Volume: 1K per year, 2-3 per day

Will cover the ER

No abortions, but will perform D&C for miscarriages

Circumcisions preferred

Support Staff: Midwife

EMR: Allscripts

Must be board-certified
