Perform EEG, NCS/EMG, and sleep study procedures, preparing patients, applying electrodes, and ensuring comfort and safety. Identify normal and abnormal findings, troubleshoot equipment issues, and document notable activity for physician review. Maintain, clean, calibrate, and troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment; provide oncall coverage as scheduled. Deliver compassionate, appropriate care across neonatal through geriatric populations while protecting patient privacy and confidentiality. Accurately document patient history, test data, and reports in the EHR while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, TJC, and DNV standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in meetings and education, and assist in training students or new staff.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required Graduate of accredited Neurodiagnostic/END program is preferred; enrollment in a CAAHEP- accredited program is acceptable Experience: Must have a minimum of 6 months of neurodiagnostic technology experience or supervised training One (1) or more years of clinical neurodiagnostic experience is preferred License(s)/Certification(s): Required Upon Hire: Electro Neurodiagnostic Technician Registry eligible Required within 90 Days of Hire Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification American Heart Association (AHA)
