About the role

The specialist performs crisis assessments and evaluations for clients in coordination with emergency department personnel and psychiatrists. Responsibilities include providing disposition recommendations, conducting telehealth triage, and managing assessment records.

Where You’ll Work Founded in 1976, Holy Cross Hospital - Davis has grown into a 220-bed hospital of choice for the flourishing communities of northern Utah.

Over the years we have enhanced our care by offering a broad range of services, advanced medical technology, and a comfortable, convenient patient experience.

To meet the needs of northern Utah’s growing population, we opened a brand-new 16,000-square-foot healthcare facility in Roy, known as the Weber Campus.

The Weber Campus, which is convenient for patients in Ogden, Roy, and other neighborhoods west of I-15, currently offers emergency care, radiology, mammography and 24/7 laboratory services.

Located in the northern portion of the Wasatch Front and only minutes from Hill Airforce Base, you can enjoy quick access to Ogden, Salt Lake City, Antelope Island State Park, hiking, biking, and the beautiful outdoor activities that Utah is known for.

As a Crisis Assessment Specialist you will be responsible for assessment of clients in consultation and cooperation with emergency department personnel, psychiatrists, clinicians, attending physicians and managed care representatives.

While in this position you will provide recommendation for disposition.

The Crisis Assessment Specialist may perform the following as required: face-to-face evaluations, telehealth (video) triage evaluations, respond to and/or triage patient/family complaints, assist in management of all assessment records, perform statistical analysis.

Schedule

Days, Friday - Tuesday Job Requirements In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: At least one year crisis experience, preferred 2 years’ experience in direct behavioral health clinical care. Competence with DSM diagnostic criteria and treatment planning Demonstrates clinical and ethical professionalism, conflict resolution and critical thinking skills Adequate and available transportation for response to various evaluation sites Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Nursing or related behavioral health field Current

License in the state of employment in one of the following disciplines: Clinical Psychologist (PSY), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (RN CNS) or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (RN NP). Psych Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), and/or Licensed Additionals Counselor (LAC).

Utah facilities only: Current license in the state of employment in one of the following disciplines: Certified Social Worker (CSW), Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACHMC), Associate level Mental Health Therapy License, and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, if proper supervision is required and can be met by hospital staff For St. Anthony North Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, Penrose St. Francis, St. Mary Corwin and St.

Thomas

Moore only: Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Requirements

Candidates must have a Master's degree in a behavioral health field and a current state license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or NP). A minimum of one to two years of experience in crisis or direct behavioral health clinical care is required.
