Scope of work Under the supervision of their assigned preceptor and/or the license of their Supervisor, the Respiratory Therapy graduate: implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients; provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care; assists patients of all ages with acute and chronic illness in returning to a productive life style.
Required Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATE_MI State of Michigan within 90 days required CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care within 90 days required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and obtain Michigan state licensure and NBRC registry certification within 90 days. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA or ARC is required upon hire.
