The Staff Nurse provides direct professional nursing care for pediatric patients throughout their episode of service delivery. They ensure all services align with CCMC policies, Joint Commission standards, and state and federal regulations.
Under general supervision, assumes 24-hour accountability to plan and provide direct professional nursing care for specified patients throughout the entire episode of service delivery as defined by population and unit. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the standards of practice of a professional nurse, CCMC policies & procedures, Joint Commission, and State & federal regulations. Reports to Nurse Manager.

Candidates must have an ASN upon hire, a valid Connecticut RN license, and BLS/CPR certification. A BSN and at least 2 years of pediatric or emergency clinical experience are preferred.
