Delivers patient care through data collection, assessment, and the implementation of treatment plans within a behavioral health unit. Coordinates care with interdisciplinary teams and serves as a patient safety advocate through quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Job Functions In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness; administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and organization policies and procedures; serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments. Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department. Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.

Requires a valid nursing license and either an Associate degree or Diploma in Nursing, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required prior to independent patient care.
