About the role

The Caregiver/MedTech provides essential daily living assistance, including bathing, dressing, and medication administration for residents. They also offer emotional support and companionship while reporting changes in resident conditions to supervisors.

Responsibilities/Qualifications Homestead is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide care to our residents in Muskegon, MI. The Caregiver/MedTech will assist residents with activities of daily living, medication administration, help with laundry and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors. This is for a mix of 1st and 2nd shifts

Responsibilities

Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc. Passing medications. Providing companionship and emotional support to clients. Assist residents with laundry, including bedding. Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor. Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead. Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Must be 18 years old. High school diploma or GED. Able to pass a criminal background check. Experience working with the elderly. Able to lift 50 pounds. Every other weekend is required. Reliable transportation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.
