Work Shift

Night - 12 Hour (United States of America)7p-7a, FT

I.

Position Summary

Primarily responsible for providing professional nursing care within the assigned unit. Coordinates plan of care with the patient, their family, and the interdisciplinary team. Ensures appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare.

Qualifications

A. Education & Training

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.

B.

Experience

None. Residency or Fellowship programs may apply depending on department and experience.

C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure

Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA/ARC PALS, AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire. CPT training within 9 months of hire. Completion of the Rhythm Interpretation Course CLEP test or classroom course or obtained within 3 months. Must complete and maintain required stroke education/training as mandated in the “HHC Primary Stroke Center / Acute Stroke Ready Designation” policy.

D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must be able to utilize standard office equipment. Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment. Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current US state RN license authorized for practice in Georgia. Required certifications include BLS, with PALS, ACLS, CPT, and Rhythm Interpretation certifications to be obtained within specified timeframes after hire.
