About the role

Assist physicians and nurses during diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures and respond to emergency situations. Responsible for procedure set-up, equipment maintenance, and the reprocessing of endoscopes.

Hourly Pay Range

  • $20.69 - $30.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • What you will do: Assist under the direction of the RN, in the implementation of the established plan of care. Assist the physician and the RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Respond to emergency situations. Responsible for procedure set-up, supply and equipment maintenance, processing and reprocessing of endoscopes and other duties as assigned. Responsible for meeting on-call criteria as defined by the department. The employee is expected to float to other GI Lab locations.

Requirements

Requires basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology along with BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant, or Medical Assistant is highly preferred.
