Maple Lake Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our busy, fast-paced small animal practice in Maple Lake, Minnesota. We are looking for a veterinary professional who communicates clearly, works well as part of a team, and genuinely enjoys helping clients and their furry family members. Our three-doctor clinic cares for dogs and cats and is part of the Animals Inc family of veterinary practices serving Central Minnesota. Why Our Veterinary Technicians Love It Here Join a busy three-doctor practice where your skills will be used every day Work alongside a supportive team that values collaboration and mutual respect Provide hands-on patient care from intake through discharge Build lasting relationships with clients and their pets Enjoy a consistent four-day work week Keep your nights and holidays free Rotate only one Saturday approximately every seven weeks Receive mentorship and encouragement as you continue growing professionally Enjoy monthly team meals and regular opportunities to connect with colleagues Collaborate with teammates across our Kimball, Watkins, Litchfield, Hutchinson, and Lifelong locations Be part of a workplace where asking for help and offering help are equally valued Work in a hospital culture that believes excellent medicine and having fun can go hand in hand What Our Veterinary Technicians Do Collaborate with the veterinary team to maintain an efficient workflow and positive hospital culture Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from patient intake through discharge Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments Perform venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection Complete in-house laboratory testing Position patients and obtain diagnostic radiographs Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgical and dental procedures Assist with surgical and dental procedures from preparation through recovery Monitor anesthesia, patient vital signs, and overall patient condition during procedures Provide attentive postoperative and recovery care Clean, maintain, and prepare surgical and dental instruments Maintain complete and accurate medical records and patient charts Educate clients about medications, discharge instructions, preventive care, and ongoing patient needs Communicate with clients using compassion, clarity, and confidence Help maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment areas What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring A current Veterinary Technician license or substantial hands-on Veterinary Assistant experience Strong technical skills appropriate to your experience and training Excellent verbal and written communication abilities A compassionate and empathetic approach to patients, clients, and coworkers Confidence assisting with examinations, treatments, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping habits The ability to remain organized and effective in a busy clinical environment A positive and supportive approach to teamwork The confidence to take ownership of assigned responsibilities A willingness to ask for help when needed and offer help to teammates A commitment to continued learning and professional growth A desire to encourage and support the growth of others Dependability, flexibility, and a team-first mindset A sense of humor and the belief that work can be both meaningful and enjoyable The Extras You'll Actually Feel At Maple Lake Veterinary Clinic, we believe remarkable patient care begins with a team that respects, supports, and appreciates one another.
