About the role

Assists ER physicians and nurses with direct patient care, including taking vitals, performing EKGs, and applying splints. Handles administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and maintaining equipment inventory.

Assists Emergency Room physicians and nurses with patient care based on individual patient needs under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Performs a variety of duties such as patient transport, taking vitals, non-sterile dressings, EKG's and splint application.

Will also assist with paperwork, faxing/filing and answering phones and greeting patients and visitors.

Assists in maintaining adequate inventory supplies and equipment.

Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle stress adequately.

BLS required within 90 days of employment.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Candidates with previous experience in emergency/trauma preferred but not required.

This position is a full-time night shift position - 7PM- 7AM.

Requirements
