Communicates with physicians, as appropriate, about changes in patient’s condition including results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties with minimal supervision. Administers medication/treatments in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Follows infection control practices including proper hand washing technique, standard precautions, isolation precautions and proper use of required PPE personal protective equipment.
Performs independently, within department’s policies and procedures, referring universal problems to RN Manager.
Accountable for following scheduled policies and adheres to posted work schedule.
Arrives to work on time, dressed appropriately.
Wears Identification Badge while on duty.

Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing Current unencumbered license from Georgia Board of Nursing Current BCLS certification Obtain ACLS certification within 1 year of hire and maintain current certification (If working in Emergency Department, Medical Surgical Unit, Specialty Care Unit or Surgery) Obtain PALS certification within 1 year of hire and maintain current certification (if working in

Experience: Experience preferred, but not necessary, may obtain on the job. Ability to proficiently perform all essential job responsibilities Physical/Mental Demands
Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk, and bend intermittently throughout the work day. Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable the applicant to adequately fulfill the requirements of this position.
Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.

Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current unencumbered license from the Georgia Board of Nursing. Must have BCLS certification and obtain ACLS and/or PALS certifications within one year of hire depending on the unit.
