RiseWell Community Services is seeking a compassionate Full-Time Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at our ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Team in Richmond Hills, Queens, NY. In this role, the Substance Abuse Counselor will supervise and provide direct services with a focus on substance abuse recovery and harm reduction on a mobile, multi-disciplinary treatment team for persons with severe and persistent mental illness.
Our Assertive Community Treatment teams provide a full suite of treatment to individuals dealing with serious mental illness, so they can get the support they truly need. ACT services aim to prevent relapse, teach valuable life skills, provide assistance, and connect individuals with essential community resources so they can move forward and thrive in work, school, home life, and social relationships. As a part of our ACT team, you’ll be working as a collaborative, mobile, multi-disciplinary treatment team, both in office and in the community.

Masters in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling or related field preferred. NYS licensed preferred. At least 1 year of experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment. A valid and clean NY State driver license, fingerprinting, criminal record check, and approval from OASAS
