Hiring Range: $115,000.00 to $150,000.00 Actual pay depends on specialty, experience, and performance.
Riverside is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Gastroenterology team at Riverside Gastroenterology Specialists in Williamsburg, Virginia.
This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative outpatient setting alongside experienced, board-certified gastroenterologists while providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Position Highlights Outpatient clinic-based role Monday through Friday schedule Clinic hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
No weekends or hospital call requirements Collaborative team environment with experienced gastroenterologists Established patient population Supportive clinical and administrative resources
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory testing. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising gastroenterologists. Assist in the preoperative and postoperative care of patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures. Provide patient education regarding disease prevention, treatment options, medications, and lifestyle modifications. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with applicable protocols and scope-of-practice guidelines. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation and patient records. Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Education Qualified candidates must possess one of the following: Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Required Qualifications Current certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Current Virginia license or eligibility for Virginia licensure. Current DEA controlled substance registration. Meets professional, ethical, and clinical practice standards. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Skills & Competencies Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. Collaborative approach to working with physicians and healthcare team members.
