Registered Nurse (RN) – Trauma Surgical/Burn ICU – Full-time, 7P Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time, 36/hours per week; Nights shift Department highlights: 20 bed Surgical Trauma/Burn Intensive Care Unit, Nurse: Patient ratio 1:2 Level I Trauma Center MAGNET facility Trauma Surgical, Renal Transplant, Burn and MSOF patients, CRRT, Vent-patients Department is a designated Donor transfer center Caring for ICU Level Burn injuries The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team High acuity, high volume department

• Here’s What You Need Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ACLS – within 90 days of hire required CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire TNCC or ATCN – within 12 months of hire preferred 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required Current ICU/PCU experience preferred In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism have basic computer skills using medical management application systems What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
