About the role

Deliver high-quality care to critical patients in a 12-bed ICU using the Nursing Process to assess, plan, and intervene. Maintain continuity of care and incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures.

Work location: Texas Health Alliance, 10864 Texas Health Trail Fort Worth, TX 76244 Work hours: PRNIII: Day Shift, 6:45am – 7:15pm, 6 shifts/6 week schedule, 2 weekend shifts ICU Department highlights: 12-bed ICU unit that specializes in giving high quality care to the most critical of patients.

Opportunities to train to high acuity skills, including Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Targeted Temperature Management, Impella, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), etc.

As a nurse on this unit, you’ll have opportunities for professional growth, career development, and outstanding support to ensure we provide the highest level of quality care to every patient every time.

We offer 24/7 Intensivist/Advanced Nurse Practitioner coverage which provides exceptional pulmonary critical care patient oversight.

Here’s What You Need Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required ACLS – within 90 days required NIHSS – within 60 days of hire CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire 1 Year of experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required At least 1 year of current ICU experience strongly preferred What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Requirements

Requires an Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma in Nursing and a valid RN license. Must have 1 year of clinical nurse experience, with current ICU experience strongly preferred and various certifications like BCLS and ACLS.
