Join our team at Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Human Service Worker at the New Vista Day Program for Adolescents in Provo, Utah, earning $17.50–$22.17/hour. New Vista provides day treatment and outpatient services for youth navigating behavioral health challenges, including the impacts of trauma, difficult life experiences, and emotional or behavioral struggles. In this meaningful, hands-on role, you'll support adolescents by helping create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment where they can develop healthy coping skills, build confidence, and work toward success at home, school, and in the community. What You'll Do as a Human Service Worker Provide compassionate support, supervision, and encouragement to adolescents in a structured therapeutic environment. Facilitate structured activities, skills groups, and daily routines that help youth build emotional regulation, social skills, and healthy coping strategies. Assist with therapeutic programming designed to support youth who are navigating trauma, behavioral health challenges, and difficult life experiences. Help maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment while assisting with crisis intervention when needed. Document client interactions, progress, behaviors, and observations accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, and other treatment team members to support individualized care plans and program goals. Model positive behavior, effective communication, and healthy coping strategies to help youth develop confidence and independence. Encourage youth as they practice new skills and work toward success at home, school, and in the community. Build positive relationships with program participants while providing consistent guidance, structure, and support. Assist with maintaining a predictable and therapeutic environment where youth feel safe, accepted, and empowered to grow.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase Apply Today Ready to make a real impact? Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. A background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review are required for employment.
