Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Therapist at our Receiving & Outreach Center (ROC) in Provo, Utah.

In this critical role, you'll provide essential crisis mental health services to adults in Utah and Wasatch Counties, supporting individuals during acute mental health crises in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

As part of a compassionate, multidisciplinary team, you'll provide crisis intervention, mental health evaluations, and care coordination to help individuals stabilize and connect with ongoing resources.

Therapists in this position earn $28.79–$44.47/hour.

  • About Us: Wasatch Behavioral Health Wasatch Behavioral Health is a local government agency dedicated to providing compassionate, accessible mental health and substance-use services. What You'll Do as a Therapist Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization services for adults experiencing acute mental health challenges. Conduct mental health evaluations and consultations to determine appropriate levels of care and support. Provide individual support and therapeutic interventions to clients during times of crisis. Complete clinical documentation, assessments, and treatment recommendations in accordance with agency standards. Coordinate care and connect clients with community resources, treatment programs, and ongoing support services. Collaborate with peer support specialists, therapists, law enforcement, hospitals, and community partners to provide comprehensive crisis care. Support Mobile Crisis Outreach (MCOT) responses in collaboration with local law enforcement when needed. Assist clients in developing safety plans, coping strategies, and next steps toward stabilization. Provide care coordination for individuals receiving Crisis Residential Support (CRS) services to help prevent higher levels of care and promote community-based stability. Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for clients receiving short-term crisis services. Work as part of a 24/7 crisis response team dedicated to providing immediate access to compassionate behavioral health care.

Qualifications

Master's degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy. Utah licensure as CSW, ACMHC, AMFT, LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT (or the ability to obtain it before starting). Experience working with children preferred. Solid skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and providing therapy. Comfortable working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team. Reliable with documentation and maintaining professional standards. Committed to ethical practice and ongoing learning. Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in social work or counseling and valid Utah licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, CMHC). Experience with children is preferred, along with strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
