Overview Respiratory Therapist – Registered Respiratory Therapist needed for a travel assignment in Cumming, Georgia, United States. Start date 08/09/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,501–$1,595 per week; Guaranteed hours 36 per week; Shift is 12-hour nights on a 2x3 schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care to NICU patients, including assessment, planning, and therapy per physician orders.
  • Manage and monitor advanced respiratory support, including neonatal ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP, and weaning.
  • Administer inhaled medications, deliver aerosol therapies, and provide oxygen therapy with documentation of patient response.
  • Perform neonatal resuscitation and participate in delivery room respiratory care in alignment with NRP guidelines.
  • Collaborate with neonatology, nursing, and pediatric teams; document care in the electronic health record and communicate patient status and plan.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; uphold infection control, safety standards, and respond to clinical changes or code events as needed.

Requirements

  • Georgia RRT license (active) and NBRC-RRT credential
  • NRP certification; Neonatal delivery experience
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent NICU-specific respiratory therapy experience
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a NICU environment
