Fairview is looking for a RN in our Critical Care Float Pool department at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN.
As a Critical Care Float Pool RN you will float to the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department.
In a less frequent capacity you may float to, Cardiac Telemetry, Surgical, Orthopedic, Medical, Observation, and Oncology.
You may have additional opportunity to cross train more areas if needs dictate.

The starting base rate of pay for the position is $42.96.
Candidates with experience or higher degree may be brought in at a higher rate of pay. $2.00 extra per hour weekend shift differential $4.00 extra per hour night shift differential $2.00 extra per hour for being in the float pool!
Responsibilities/Job Description: Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to patients and family’s diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights.
Conducts ongoing assessments as determined by patient’s condition and/or the hospital policies, procedures or protocols and reprioritizes care accordingly.
Establish and implement nursing care plans for each patient through assessment, development, activation, evaluation and discharge.
Organize, assign and supervise duties and responsibilities of other staff members as a team leader.
Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and facility Required Qualifications: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) MN RN License BLS for Health Care Providers 1 year of IMC Float Pool experience or 2-3 years of acute care nursing experience Preferred Qualifciations: BSN or higher preferred Experience with IV starts, medical code response, experience working in Emergency Department, ICU or Intermediate/Progreassive Care Unit Additional Requirements: Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire

Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, a valid MN RN License, and BLS certification, with 1-3 years of relevant acute care or float pool experience. ACLS certification is required within six months of hire, and a BSN is preferred.
